Main Library Update/ Summer Reading Program

Hi friends! I know that we've been off the grid for a little while but that is only because we are getting much anticipated updates to our main library building. Nothing too exciting, just some new AC, right in time for summer ;) The main library has been closed since the last week of May and will tentatively open the first week of July. Please keep a close eye on the website as many of our updates are posted there on a daily basis. Our staff has been working tirelessly at the Allwood Branch Library to get ready for summer. We have a huge variety of programs being offered this summer so don't miss out! Check out our July calendar here. We can't wait to see you this summer!

Star Wars Party

 On May 1st, we hosted an amazing Star Wars party. The children were able to make three different crafts, including Baby Yoda and Darth Vader battling it out with their pipe cleaner light sabers. We also made a rocket ship for our baby Yoda's to take a ride in. Lastly, each child was gifted with an inflatable light saber that had parents using the last of their air to blow up so their children could battle their friends!

May the Fourth be with you!

 May is upon us and so is our opportunity to celebrate everything Star Wars! May 4th is our annual Star Wars party, so now is a great time to check our immense selection of Start Wars books. We have so many different ones on our display, and we also carry a varied collection of picture books, easy reader books, and chapter books all Star Wars related.

National Pet Day

 Did you know that April 11th is National Pet Day? Celebrate your dog, cat, rabbit, or fish by checking out a book on the best ways to take care of them! Or read a story featuring one of your favorite animals and go on some wild adventures with them. Check out our book display in the children's room to find all your favorite stories!

April Programs

 April is right around the corner!

 Check out our programs for the third and fourth week of the Spring season and sign up for your favorites. Registration opens two weeks before the program date at 10:00am.

NJ Maker's Day

 On Saturday, March 22nd the Clifton Library held its annual Maker's Day program! We hosted City Green and 4H who provided different projects to stimulate the young inventor's mind. 

We also had a craft station in which we provided kids with some amazing projects including straw flowers and paper plate nature scenes. Thanks to everyone for joining us and don't forget to stop by next year to make something spectacular!
