Kids are able to pick up their reading logs now - don't forget to register for Summer Reading when you do so! Come to our fun events this Summer and earn points by reading and completing activities.

Summer's here - it's June! We have a couple of fun programs lined up this month as we prepare for a very busy July. Be sure to check out our rescheduled Stewie the Duck program on June 27th. Our Summer Reading Kickoff will be June 25th - join us for a fun, one-man circus at Berkeley College!

It's warming up and so is our program schedule! Regular storytimes continue through this month, but we have other fun ones for kids of all ages! Don't miss Stewie the Duck Story Time about Water Safety Awareness, and see what crafts we have to offer! We also have a ShopRite Healthy Snack program and a special Bilingual Turkish Story Time. City Green will be back twice this month to have kids working in the garden and learn more about plants and planting! The weather is warming up - April is here! Though we have a short break from our usual story times at the beginning of the month, we'll be back to them soon enough. Don't miss our special Author Visit program on April 2nd!

Whooosh! Do you hear that sound? It's the sound of windy March arriving! Come to one of our regular story times at the Main or Allwood libraries for some family fun, or come to a craft! Don't forget that Makers Day is approaching, and we'll have fun science themed activities going on at the library!

Have a baby who's still learning to crawl? Come to our Playtime with a Physical Therapist program, specifically for babies who haven't yet learned how to crawl. We also have some holiday themed crafts coming up, with crafts for Ramadan, St. Patrick's Day, Holi, Purim, and Easter! We look forward to having you join us.

February Monthly Post

 

Love is in the air - February is here! In February, we are continuing our regular story time programs, and have some more fun Eclipse-themed crafts for children of different ages. Don't forget our special program on February 3rd, Take Your Child to the Library Day! Stop by the main library for a scavenger hunt, crafts, cookies and learn about all the free services the library offers. For all ages and fun for the whole family. No registration needed.

We also have two fun Valentines-themed programs this month, a fun show by StoryFaces to celebrate the holiday as well as a story and craft by a local author. Don't forget to join us and Music Play Patrol as we celebrate Black History Month with an African Drum Circle program on February 6th! We hope to see you there.

The cold month of January has arrived. We're going to resume programming on January 22nd, kicking off our Winter season! Regular storytimes are back, but keep an eye out for our Eclipse programs, as well as holiday programs such as our Groundhog Day craft! This month also features a special Bilingual English/Spanish Story Time.

We're down to the final weeks of our Summer Reading program, but there's still time to earn points in your reading logs to spend on points! The Summer Reading prize store opens bright and early at 10:00 am on August 7th - prizes are first come, first serve. The prize store will remain open until September 1st. We still have programs happening this month, and don't forget to keep an eye out for invites to the end of summer Kiwanis Ice Cream Party if you've picked up a reading log!

 A new year and a new season of programs are arriving! We have regular storytimes happening again, happening at the Main and Allwood libraries. In the event of the Main Library still being closed due to heating issues, the programs scheduled there will instead take place at our Allwood Branch. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need to reach us, call the Allwood Branch library at 973-471-0555 and ask for the children's department.
