Acclaimed children's author Kevin Henkes is the writer and illustrator of many popular children's picture books such as Chrysanthemum, Kitten's First Full Moon, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, and the new book The World and Everything In It! His birthday is today, November 27th.
Kevin Henkes was born in Racine, Wisconsin and has won book awards such as the Caldecott Medal, Phoenix Picture Book Awards, the Newbery Honor award, and more!
